On the first weekend of February, the LSC Showcase brought together top youth soccer talent. While presenting great opportunities for competitive matches, the Showcase ultimately provided players with the opportunity to play in front of college soccer programs looking for the next generation of standout athletes. FIERCE 08G NL and 10G NL players stepped up in a big way, demonstrating their futsal-fueled technical ability, tactical adaptability, total-football style, and "Be Different" mindset. FIERCE United put on a clinic across their matches during the weekend, capturing the attention of NCAA and NAIA coaches from across the country and demonstrating their readiness for the next level of competitive soccer.
After coaching at the event and meeting with numerous college coaches after matches, Executive Director Coach Nick shared the following:
We are so excited for our Class of 2025, 2026 and 2027 players who have gotten incredible exposure this winter at a variety of college identification events. It’s truly amazing to see literally a decade of hard work and dedication pay off for the amazing young women we have the pleasure of serving. While the offers and interest that have been pouring in at the D1, D2, D3 and NAIA for these FIERCE players is great to witness, I think what makes our staff most proud is watching these ladies represent our core values so well and seeing them use soccer as a vehicle to make informed decisions about their futures. It’s humbling to watch these life-ready leaders start to recognize their limitless potential both on and off the pitch. We’d be remiss to not also thank the tremendous collegiate staff members who have so kindly allocated time to build relationships with FIERCE and observe matches. It was awesome to welcome over 30 coaches on the sideline this past week alone. We are grateful for their engagement with our players and the sustaining friendships we are building with these visionary program leaders across the country. We appreciate that they recognize the immense hidden talent that exists beyond ECNL at innovative, women-oriented clubs such as FIERCE. We can’t wait to see more of our graduates thrive at these institutions! Thanks as always to our phenomenal staff, including new additions such as our college consultant Coach Linda Hamilton, for their wisdom and guidance. We are so blessed to surround our ladies with such strong and capable servant leaders.
The future is bright, and we can’t wait to see where these opportunities lead for FIERCE's athletes! As the players continue their spring season, the momentum from the LSC Showcase will only drive FIERCE further. The club's goal remains the same: to keep player development at the heart of all it does, and form life-ready leaders prepared for success at the collegiate level and beyond.
